The BIPT examined how the price level of telecom products for private users on the Belgian market compares to the prices of similar products in the neighbouring countries (the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg).

The analysis is carried out based on the tariff plan data gathered by the BIPT in October 2025.

This study shows that Belgium has become more competitive for mobile subscriptions with both small and very large data needs.

On the other hand, our country remains among the more expensive half of the countries studied for fixed internet and packs.

Especially for the popular most extensive packs, Belgium is by far the most expensive country.

While the dynamics in the mobile market have evolved, the fixed market remains behind.
