The BIPT has been tasked by the legislator with the monitoring of the compliance with several obligations imposed on bpost.
From that point of view an inspection took place at the end of 2021 of a sample of services of general economic interest.
Whereas in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2018 the BIPT conducted field tests into the provision of information to the customers, the accessibility and the waiting times at the counter, in 2021 it was decided to replace the BIPT field tests by an inspection of the bpost measuring systems themselves.
This way an overlap in measurements is avoided.
