This decision aims at ensuring the coexistence of Infrabel's GSM-R network in the 876.1-879.9/921.1-924.9 MHz frequency bands on the one hand with the public mobile networks in the 880.1-914.9/925.1-959.9 MHz frequency bands on the other hand. Citymesh asked BIPT to add the municipalities of Kortrijk to the current licence. The addition of Kortrijk to the list of municipalities falling under the existing user rights limits the possibilities for another potential candidate and can therefore not be accepted without a new allocation procedure.

Communication of 3 April 2019 regarding the monitoring of the 6th management contract concluded between the State and bpost

BIPT has been tasked by the legislator with the monitoring of the compliance with several obligations imposed on bpost. In this respect, a monitoring was carried out in May 2018 concerning a selection of services of general economic interest for which bpost receives compensation within the framework of the 6th management contract concluded between the Belgian State and bpost. BIPT has verified 20% of all the post offices and postal points.
