This document contains the BIPT opinion on the bpost report regarding the 2011 improvement programme it launched and the 2012 action plan aiming at improving customer satisfaction.  BIPT notices that the 2011 improvement programme did not have the expected effect since general satisfaction decreased in 2011 from 80.5% to 77%, which was the third decrease in a row.  Results clearly show that actions taken in 2011 did not have a positive effect on customer satisfaction, nor for private individuals nor for companies.  It is therefore of crucial importance for bpost to listen to its clients and to put its service in line with their needs. The 2012 action plan includes concrete measures and initiatives aiming at improving customer satisfaction.

Opinion of the BIPT Council of 31 January 2013 concerning the draft Royal Decree on radio access to the 790-862 MHz frequency band

According to Articles 79, § 2, and 86, § 2, of the Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications, laying down that the universal service obligations concerning the directory enquiry services and directories may be lifted in a Royal Decree deliberated in the Council of Ministers, the BIPT Council submitted its opinion to the Minister on 24 May 2013. This opinion according to which the universal service obligations concerning the directory enquiry services and directories may be lifted was adopted after a market analysis, establishing that these services or similar services were largely accessible. The draft opinion was submitted for public consultation from 26 February to 29 March 2013.
