BIPT presents its draft strategic plan 2020-2022. A high degree of continuity was considered when drafting this document. In this way, the texts regarding the mission and the values of the organisation remained largely the same as well as the strategic axes. Only the text regarding our vision was completely revised to reflect more vividly what BIPT stands for: "A reliable and competitive communication environment for everyone".

The observatory published by BIPT reveals that the postal market grew by 5% in 2018. The parcel and express segment even grew by 12.3%. This results in the need for all postal operators to have a wide postal points network.

The indicators present in this observatory aim at providing a representation of the market structure intended for all the stakeholders of the postal sector (senders, addressees, operators, various intermediate players, etc.). These indicators allow approaching the market on supply side, the evolution of the universal service provider activity and its competitors, as well as the results of the postal activity in Belgium in terms of quality of service and innovation for the users of these services.The observatory reveals that the postal market grew by 5% in 2018.The parcel and express segment even grew by 12.3%. This results in the need for all postal operators to have a wide postal points network.

The BIPT has called in an independent consultant to study the issue of the unique fees for the public mobile systems on 3600 MHz and 26 GHz. This study aims to formulate recommendations for setting the unique fee for the procedures to allocate those bands.
