  • Consultation of 13 December 2018 regarding the cable and FTTH cost models

    BIPT is organising a consultation regarding the cost models for the access to the cable operators’ networks and to Proximus’ FTTH network. This consultation aims at providing transparency to the sector concerning the cost modelling process and gathering any useful remarks aiming at adapting, when necessary, these cost models. This document introduces and describes the consultation process. It also details the most relevant aspects related to the costing for which BIPT requires the feedback of the stakeholders. It includes a number of specific questions to which stakeholders are invited to answer. The consultation concerns the following documents: - Consultation document (this document);- Descriptive manuals of the cable and FTTH models;- User manuals of the cable and FTTH models;- Public version of the cable and FTTH cost models; How to send the responses to this consultation: per e-mail at consultation.sg@bipt.be (subject: CONSULT-2018-D2).   • Decision of 23 November 2018 regarding the analysis of tariff increases for bpost's single-piece rates for the year 2019

    This decision relates to the monitoring of compliance with the rules regarding the calculation of tariff increases for bpost's single-piece rates for 2019. Single-piece rates are tariffs for products destined for private users (or business users who would not benefit from discount rates for the deposit of bulk products). Single-piece rates do not vary according to the volume deposited or the preparation of the postal items. This monitoring takes place in accordance with Article 18 of the Act of 26 January 2018.
  • Report of the BIPT Council of 20 November 2018 on the verification of the compliance with the licence obligations of TBC-Post after five years of activity

    Pursuant to Article 14, §1, 3°, of the Act of 17 January 2003 on the status of the regulator of the Belgian postal and telecommunications sectors, BIPT monitored the compliance of TBC-Post with its licence conditions after five years of activity. This control showed that TBC-Post fulfils the obligations related to its licence.

  • Decision of 3 December 2018 on granting exclusive frequency bands for the use of radio relay links and radio interface E18 (26 GHz band)

    The decision mainly concerns the assignment of exclusive frequency bands for the use of radio-relay links to Telenet Group, Proximus and Orange Belgium. The decision also modifies the E18 radio interface regarding digital radio-relay links operating in the 26 GHz band.
