This decision of the CRC concerns the analysis of the television broadcasting market in the bilingual Brussels-Capital Region. It concludes that cable-operators Numericable, Brutélé and Telenet have significant market power and imposes a series of obligations on them, in particular the obligation to open their networks to competing operators.

This decision concerns the analysis of the wholesale market for the unbundled access and the wholesale market for the bitstream access. The CRC concludes that Belgacom has significant market power on these markets and therefore imposes a series of obligations to fulfil on the operator.

Today the CRC (the Conference of Regulators of the electronic communications sector uniting the Vlaamse Regulator voor de Media, the Conseil Supérieur de l’Audiovisuel, the Medienrat en the Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications) publishes decisions that together cover triple play services. These decisions will enter into force in the electronic communications sector as of 1 August 2011.

The purpose of this decision is to ensure coexistence between aeronautical radars of Belgocontrol and of the Ministry of Defence in the 2700-2900 MHz frequency band on the one hand and the use of the 2500-2690 MHz band by 4G operators1 on the other.
