With an average connection probability of 98.2% aboard trains and an average download speed of 55 Mbps, the results are very good.

Brussels, 14 January 2022 – By publishing the call for candidates, the BIPT launched the long-awaited auction of the future radio spectrum. The auction concerns the allocation of the new 5G spectrum and of the existing 2G and 3G spectrum. This auction scheduled for June 2022 will help define the mobile telecom landscape in Belgium for the next 20 years. The auction also includes a package of reserved spectrum for a possible new mobile operator wishing to enter the market.
