The texts attached regard a proposal for an amendment of Article 113/2 of the Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications.
The proposal aims to introduce a system obliging the operators to grant a compensation in case of a service failure interrupting the service completely for a duration of at least 12 hours.
This compensation is destined for the subscribers affected who have a tariff plan for private persons as well as those who have a prepaid card and live or are situated in the area where the failure occurred.
The proposal is based on the compensation scheme already in place in the Netherlands since 2017.
