E-mails and web space must remain available for 6 months after the end of an Internet subscription.
Internet providers must now keep providing access to the e-mail account and web space associated with an internet subscription for at least six months after the termination of the contract.
The obligation takes effect from 16 April 2011 and is free for the user.
In this context, BIPT has approved a code of conduct by ISPA (the Belgian Internet Providers Association), which further details how internet providers should provide these conveniences.
