This communication provides the procedures for registering or updating the registration data of an entity within the framework of the law of April 26, 2024, establishing a framework for the cybersecurity of networks and information systems of general interest for public security (the "NIS2 law").
This communication is applicable to the following entities:
- Entities subject to a notification obligation laid down in Article 9 of the Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications (hereinafter the “ECA”);
- Entities subject to a notification obligation laid down in Article 6/1 of the Act of 26 January 2018 on postal services as well as holders of a postal licence pursuant to Article 6 of the same Act.
This communication is not applicable to the following entities:
- Operators providing number-independent interpersonal communications services within the meaning of the ECA;
- Postal service providers which are not holders of a postal licence and do not provide parcel delivery services in Belgium.
Attention: Please note that electronic communications or postal service operators which are not subject to electronic notification with the BIPT must directly register on the https://atwork.safeonweb.be/ platform, insofar as they are subject to the scope (for the postal sector - see below).
Attention: If you have already registered through the Safeonweb@work platform, it is not mandatory to submit the completed forms to us. However, all future updates will be sent via the form to the BIPT and no longer through the platform.
